About this celebration

Sofiya's celebration is on 17 September, when the church honours sv. Sofia and her daughters Vyara, Nadezhda and Lyubov. The town celebration is linked to this Christian memory. The saints' names and the messages of wisdom, faith, hope and love also feature in today's observance of the capital's day.

Bulgarian original
