History and tradition

About this celebration

Strazhitsa's celebration is linked to Uspenie Bogorodichno. The municipal account for 2013 describes a morning liturgy and kurban for good health, prepared by nuns and cooks and shared with church visitors. In the centre, local craftspeople and participants from Kamen, Kesarevo and Bryagovitsa presented crafts in eleven pavilions. Children made ceramic objects, and the festive gathering included flag raising and a water blessing. Children's games in park „Angel Karaliychev“, folk songs and dances completed the celebration.

Bulgarian original
