History and tradition

About this celebration

Belitsa's celebration is linked to its declaration as a town by a decree of 29 August 1969. The cultural centre calendar preserves the programme for the fortieth anniversary in 2009, with a gathering of folk arts and local crafts. In more recent editions, the municipal celebration carries the motto „S lyubov and vyara v obshtite tsennosti“ and brings together folklore groups from Bulgaria and North Macedonia.

Bulgarian original
